What are your thoughts on Temu and similar online marketplaces? What would you like to see happen to keep your designs safe?

Temu and similar are hurting hard-working artists and creatives by copying designs. It’s that simple. They should be banned from selling copied products on a country-by-country basis. Our government and trade organisations need to make a stand against this before we lose all our grass root design creativity.

If you went to Spring Fair, how was it in terms of footfall, quality of visitor, sales etc?

We attended Spring Fair 2025; our 10th consecutive year. It felt like the biggest Spring Fair since 2020 both in size and attendance. There was a great vibe and so much positivity from exhibitors and visitors alike. Rush Design had its best trade show to date in 11 years of publishing greeting cards. It was great to see lots of new and existing customers. The Rush Design ‘Sofa Shot’ is now becoming a trend in itself… (see below).

Looking to summer – what do you think will be the big trends?

There’s a few trends popping up here and there such as Disco Balls. Rush Design had them on its trade show stand in 2016 when Everything Sparkles was launched. The styles and colour trends are what’s more important to a cohesive strong collection. Neutrals and soft pastel colour combinations are looking strong for the year ahead, which puts some of our newness right on trend.
