The Art File is launching a new collection of Father’s Day cards for 2022. These Father’s Day cards are printed on textured board and finished with embossed lines, die cuts and manly gold foils.
Other card collections for men year round include Vertigo, a smart collection of birthday and occasion cards, which has been shortlisted twice for a Henry Award in the Best Male Range category. The cards have been such a success since they were released that the Art File has introduced six new designs for 2021.
Each card lives up to the collection name; bold, eye-teasing designs are combined with a clever use of hot foils that jump out to the receiver. Designer Lucie expertly designed flat shapes that interact, bringing the cards to life. Despite these abstract qualities, the Vertigo cards also offer a sophisticated, contemporary look. Throw in a dash of humour, and the result is a collection designed to stop you in your tracks!
Lucie says: “Vertigo was initially inspired by retro posters from the sixties and seventies, taking influence from the early days of experimental graphics using lines and shapes. I have recreated this feel using meticulously spaced lines and a monochromatic palette to create illusional artwork that is simple yet striking.’’
