Earlybird has unveiled an irresistible array of new designs that have captured the hearts of its customers.
Earlier this year, the publishing business, which has its own shop in Stoke Newington, north London, witnessed an unprecedented surge in sales following the introduction of the expanded Buddy and Betty collection. Boasting more than 40 distinctive designs, this range encompasses everything from capybaras to raccoons, along with an assortment of vibrant dogs and kitsch cats. Complemented by gift wrap and thank you packs, the collection has become a staple favourite among its customers.
Dom Early, the co-founder and creative director behind Earlybird, attributes the overwhelming popularity of the range to its eclectic mix of animals, rich colours, and stunning illustrations: “There’s a mix of elements in each design that just makes me feel happy. It’s no wonder our customers have been drawn to them,” says Dom.

In response to escalating demand, Earlybird is set to unveil new additions to the range at PG Live, where it will proudly showcase its commitment to sustainability by printing on 100% recycled textured board. “I can’t wait to hear what our customers think to these latest designs; I think they’re truly exceptional. I especially love the new animal rainbow gift wrap,” adds Dom.
Seven years ago, Dom, took a bold step by introducing a line of mini card designs. Despite their unconventional size for the time, they swiftly gained popularity, catching the attention of prominent stores such as Postmark, Scribbler, and Paperchase.
The inspiration behind these mini cards originated from a customer request at the shop. A member of an NCT group sought small age cards at a cheaper price point. This ignited the idea that eventually became a cornerstone of Earlybird’s offerings.
Today, Earlybird boasts more than 100 designs, ranging from relations to birthdays and special occasions, all of which consistently perform well in sales.
Acknowledging the current economic situation, Earlybird believes it’s the perfect time to provide more affordable options without compromising on quality. Dom’s latest venture involves the creation of 18 vibrant neon mini cards, emphasising fun sentiments and playful designs. These new designs feature spot UV and embossed elements which have been so popular in the other neon ranges.
