Surrey shop is marking its 25th year with two days of celebrations
Joyce’s With Best Wishes, a Surrey-based greeting card shop, is celebrating its special birthday with two days of celebrations.
Sue Miller, owner of the Lingfield store, said: ”This year is our 25th anniversary, which we feel is an amazing achievement, so we are celebrating with a 25th Jubilee Open Day on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 August. There will be drinks and buffet on the Friday afternoon for local businesses, reps, agents and trade suppliers (past and present) together with friends. Then on the Saturday for customers and anyone else who would like to pop in; coffee and pastries 10am-12noon and afternoon tea and bubbles from 2-4pm.
She added: ”Over 25 years, we have seen many changes in the village and on the high street, but by adapting and changing to meet the requirements and needs of our customers, while always staying true to our philosophy of having different and unique cards, gifts and chocolates you would not find in every other high street, and bringing in new and exciting options, we have survived and continue to thrive. Now we offer an extensive selection of different greetings cards, covering many topics, subjects and interests across a range of all occasions and still source them from small independent firms, mostly from Great Britain, that don’t supply the supermarkets or other chain stores.”
The store also marked its anniversary year by making it to the finals of the Retas awards, in the Best Independent Greeting Card Retailer – Home Counties category.
