Tell us the background of the company – how did it come about?
UWP Luxe, a division of Up With Paper, is a boutique line of pop-up greeting cards and stationery. Our brand came from our desire to collaborate with today’s most respected artists to create curated paper goods for an elevated market.
And what is the aim/mission of the company?
UWP Luxe believes that paper holds so much potential. We hope the integrity of our beliefs shines through in all our products, from elaborately foiled pop-ups to dainty details printed onto envelope flaps. We transform paper into beautiful works of art and explore the possibilities between design and written correspondence.
Tell us a little about your stationery and book ranges:
All of our products feature pop-up or interactive elements that merge unexpected paper engineering techniques with global artist talents. We challenge ourselves to create designs that stand out from other pop-ups in the market.
What about new card ranges?
We are thrilled to announce our newest collection – Dear Alchemy, Boxed Sets. Dear Alchemy is our curious and petite card line; each design is handled smartly to create little salutations with big impact. We took a selection of our favourite and most popular designs and packed them into four uniquely themed sets: Birthday, Brunch, Botanicals, and Y2K. Each box is filled with two each of three designs and coordinating envelopes.
What are your bestselling ranges?
Our bestselling greeting card ranges include our Pure Alchemy Collection, which offers clever copy and pop-ups combined with intricate movement. Our Paper Artisan Series spotlights Hiromi Takeda, a pop-up artist from Japan who uses paper to capture the ephemeral beauty and essence of blooming flowers. Our Dear Alchemy Collection is inspired by childhood memories mixed with current trends and popular puns.
Do you have any eco-friendly credentials you would like to mention?
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and produce our greeting cards and stationery on FSC-certified paper.
Are you planning to exhibit at any shows this year?
Yes, we will be at Harrogate Home & Gift (Stand DP1-C67) and Top Drawer at London Olympia from September 10-12 (Stand J29).
