GCA members are getting ready to take their place in the Pride in London 2023 parade, through Central London tomorrow (Saturday July 1) – and there’s still time to join them!

Mark Callaby, co-Founder of Ohh Deer, leads the GCA Diversity and Inclusion Sub-Committee and tells us there are still four spaces left if anyone wants to take part in the GCA contingent. Email mark@ohhdeer.com if you are interested.

Members already taking part include: Moonpig, Windles, UK Greetings, Hallmark, Oliver Stockley, Dean Morris, Ricicle Cards, Cath Tate Cards, Blue Diamond, Cardology, Sabivo, Funky Belly, Emma Bryan, Card Factory, Fedrigoni, Instant Confetti and Austin and co.

GCA CEO Amanda Fergusson, said: ”We were thrilled to be selected for a space on the London Pride parade. It is a wonderful opportunity for the GCA to showcase the broad diversity of products in our industry and to promote greeting card sending. Thank you to everyone who has worked on this project with us and donated cards – which will be handed out on the day for people to send on!”

The GCA will form a 50-person walking group, supporting the LGBTQ+ community and celebrating the diverse greeting cards that our industry produces. GCA members have donated 10,00 LGBTQ+ themed cards, which will be handed out by the GCA and the Royal Mail float.

Mark said: ”I’m a proud member and supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and have been wanting to do something that supports and showcases this part of our industry for a while. Pride in London is the largest Pride event in the UK and I’m excited that our application was successful.

”Greeting Cards send a powerful message to anyone who receives them and as an industry we’re already producing a really rich and inclusive collection of cards that send messages of love and support.’’
