The GCA initiative Thinking of You Week starts next week. With the Queen’s funeral taking place on Monday September 19 a few alterations have been made, and the week has taken on a deeper significance.
Amanda Fergusson, CEO of the Greeting Card Association, told Greetings Today: “On behalf of our members, the Greeting Card Association joins the country in mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Thinking of You Week has an added significance now, starting as it does on the day of the Queen’s funeral. It is a time for us to remember, to think of that special person in our lives and tell them we are thinking of them.”
As it did last year, the Royal Mail will be rolling out a Thinking of You Week postmark, however, the Queen’s In Memoriam postmark is currently in use and will be until Tuesday September 20. The Thinking of You postmark will now run from Wednesday September 21 until Friday September 23.
