We hope everyone enjoyed Festive Friday and was busy writing and encouraging the public to start sending greetings cards.
One of the organisations that took part in the Greeting Card Association (GCA) initiative is UK Greetings.
The company gave back to its employees by covering the cost of posting their Christmas cards. In return, employees were asked to give back to those less fortunate by supporting two local charities: the Take one Leave One scheme helping homeless people stay warm this winter, and the Leeds Wakefield branch of the RSPCA which rehabilitates and rehomes animals to give them the second chance they deserve.
To kick off its new partnership with Greetings Card Association (GCA) and ongoing support of the Retail Trust, Spring Fair collaborated with greeting card exhibitors The Art File and Ling Design to celebrate Festive Friday by donating Christmas cards to residents of the Retail Trust’s supported living estate in North London.
Stuart Thomas, head of global partnerships, Hyve Group, said; “We are really pleased to have collaborated on such a wonderful project with the GCA, Retail Trust, and our generous greetings card exhibitors The Art File and Ling Design to support Festive Friday. It is wonderful to see the lovely Retail Trust residents get together for an hour or two to write their Christmas cards to send on to their loved ones.â€
Amanda Fergusson, CEO, Greeting Card Association, added: “Seeing a hand-written envelope on the doormat is a lovely feeling, opening a greeting card that someone has chosen and written specially for you creates a powerful connection; Christmas cards link loved ones together across the world. We’re delighted that Spring Fair and the Retail Trust are celebrating Festive Friday, starting the first wave of card sending, reminding everyone to post their cards.â€
