Thinking of You Week reaches further than ever.
Thinking of You Week is over for another year but has been a success, reaching people the length and breadth of the country and internationally.
In its seventh year, the event encouraged people to send a card and deliver a smile with publishers, independent retailers, supermarket chains and others all getting involved. Competitions, special displays, giveaways and even custom-designed notecards were just some of the things that GCA members and retailers have done to encourage the public to stay connected.
Social media posts across all platforms shared ideas, videos and people sending their cards. The Art File donated cards to local care home and schools, Tatty Teddy got a new animation and the concept stretched beyond the greeting card industry, with giftware and also events businesses supporting the campaign. Lucy Driver designed a postcard for events business Pioppo as a way for them to support other businesses.
Stories ran in newspapers and on local radio, while the US GCA also got involved as well. GCA CEO Amanda Fergusson said, “We’ve had huge engagement for Thinking of You Week – it’s definitely been the biggest yet, and it’s stretched from Scotland down to Cornwall!†To see some of the highlights from the week check out the news here
